Manchester Day is an annual event that celebrates everything great about our city. It is a day for residents and visitors alike to get together and celebrate all things Mancunian that have helped Manchester emerge as one of the world’s most iconic cities.

Manchester is a city of heroes and the 2012 Manchester Day Parade will celebrate the heroic achievements of men and women in the worlds of science and technology; in music, culture and the arts; in industry, in sport, in the natural world.

The theme of this year’s parade is ‘The Sky’s the limit… a celebration of heroic achievements’, inspiring a host of diverse and creative ideas from participating groups.
